Class Experience
Get ready to use your brains most powerful tool- your imagination! Join me in "My First Acting Class" to practice using your imagination and body to reenact beloved short stories, folktales, and fairy tales like the Three Little Pigs and Jack and the Beanstalk. We will begin class with physical and vocal warm-ups. The warm ups will include stretching and a “shake up.” We will warm up our voice by making vowel and animal sounds. Practice expressive storytelling and using imagination. Learners will learn appropriate warm ups. Students will learn basic dramatic skills and terms.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Our warm up will include stretching our arms, legs, and shoulders. During the class learners should have ample space to move around. We will be pantomiming different movements such as walking, climbing, jumping, and swimming. Learners are encouraged to have water to stay well hydrated.
