Class Experience

Welcome! This class will take us to Ponyville for a friendly yet spooky time! Students are welcome to wear anything pony or Halloween related and bring a My Little Pony (or any other object) to show the class. Together we will be reading a special Halloween My Little Pony Halloween story and song. We will also have time to decorate some delicious treats! Students will be able to be creative and show off their treats at the end of class if they wish. My class style is relaxed and FUN! 

The treat we will be making in class is dipped marshmallows and/or apple slices. Please see supply list for more information!

(Costumes MUST be family friendly. No masks or anything scary/gory.)

Parental Guidance

Depending on age and ability students may need help during the treat making portion of the class.

Supply List

Big marshmallows and/or apple slices
Melted chocolate or caramel for dipping
Sprinkles (any color will do but fall colours are fun)
Any other embellishments you would like your child to use for dipping!

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Welcome! 
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion. 

My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020. 

Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested. 

My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.

I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
