My Creative Writer's Notebook

Class
In this class, I will demonstrate a variety of ways to write, going off student suggestions, in order to get practice on writing while learning grammar and sentence structure along the way. Students can then create artwork after the class is done as an option but usually they love it!

I am a successful Outschool teacher with proven methods for success. I am a certified teacher with 15+ years of teaching in the public, private, homeschool, university model, online, or private tutoring sector. I have a BA in Business Communications, a writing minor, and a teacher's certification and have been Charlotte Mason trained at Ambleside University. I'm also trained to teach Saxon math in grades 1-4 and utilize a variety of methods in order to be successful. I have been a classroom first-grade teacher and am very familiar with the concepts needed to be taught at this young level to be successful. I can tailor my teaching for whatever needs occur and have an extensive library with multiple resources. I have a proven dynamic teaching style and animated approach to teaching and learning. In addition, I'm passionate about meeting socio-emotional needs, in addition to academics, and have since become involved in Gals On The Go Project which provides prevention and resiliency workshops to kids through engaging activities, games, role-playing, crafts, and socratic group discussions.
