In this one time class you will be transported to the Greek Islands as you create a delicious homemade dinner of authentic Greek Chicken with Greek potatoes!
Class experience
In this one time class, students will learn how to make authentic Greek style chicken with Greek potatoes that will transport their family and friends to the Greek isles. Students will be cooking and baking everything from scratch. They will measure both wet and dry ingredients. They will chop ingredients, cook and prepare ingredients on the stovetop, and bake in the oven. I will demonstrate the recipe step by step with them as we cook together. Students will be cooking and baking everything from scratch. They will measure both wet and dry ingredients. They will chop ingredients, cook, and prepare ingredients on the stovetop, and bake in the oven. Skills that I will be teaching in class are basic knife skills, pan frying, and baking. I will also teach the safety skills of operating a stovetop/oven in addition to using other kitchen equipment. Food safety and hygiene in the kitchen will be taught to my students in class as well.
A fun worksheet on Greek history, and the complete recipe/ingredient list made myself will be emailed out to my students after signing up for my class.
Parental guidance is suggested. We will be cutting and chopping the ingredients with a knife. We will be melting butter on the stovetop. We will also be baking our chicken and potatoes in the oven. Please note that we will be using dairy ( butter) in this recipe, if any students have allergies to this.
