Let's celebrate!! During this hour long virtual party, friends will gather for joyful creativity in honor of your special occasion. Session will be customized to fit your party theme, artistic medium and subject of choice. There will be singing, joke-telling, and playful shenanigans along with directed instruction on drawing, painting, or craft project. Children will leave with an uplifting experience and masterpiece to treasure. Give the gift of a 'Rainbow Brain' to your birthday buddies and create memories to last a lifetime! No prior experience necessary ~ all are welcome!
Learning Goals
I will begin the party with a check-in and 'get to know you' game relating to the theme.
The project will be introduced through slide sharing and created with the children via top-down camera video instruction.
Songs will be sung, jokes will be told and projects will be shared.
A birthday tradition of my family is to go around and say what we love about the special one we are celebrating.
This can be part of our closing circle too if you like :)

Supply List
During the planning stage, recommended supplies will be discussed and links to products offered if needed. I am happy to create projects that require nothing other than what children have available at home. You may request specific dates/ times. This includes if you are celebrating an age outside of the 5-10 year old age range. A private section will be created for the Art Party and you will also be able to purchase "gift enrollments" to send to the party guests. I look forward to celebrating with you all :)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone!
I am a home school mom of 5 kids and teacher of art & mindfulness for children of all ages, abilities and nationalities.
While studying at Cornell University, I cultivated a strong foundation in child-centered education and graduated with an individual curriculum entitled, 'Psychological and Spiritual Growth and Development' including a minor in Graphic Design and Media. During a study abroad program in Bali, Indonesia I apprenticed with a Traditional Balinese Painter, Mask-carver and Batik artists. Since then, I have taught art on a collegiate level at the Academy of Art in San Francisco in the Video and Animation Department and have taught art history, mural painting and mixed media design in a range of primary school settings to grades K-12 for the past 20 years. I have been teaching art and mindfulness classes on Outschool for over a year, and love the personal and flexible nature of the online format.
My passion is to ignite a spark of inspiration in my students to develop a life-long love of learning and creative exploration on their path to self discovery. I bring creativity and playfulness to my teaching, with an understanding that humans learn best when our minds are integrated and fully engaged. It is my belief that every child has gifts to share and will flourish when nourished with attentive care.
