Description
Class Experience
As a New York State Certified educator and composer of nearly two decades, I want to teach children not only how to read and write music, but also how to make their own music (Musicking!). All too often reading and writing music is reserved only for those studying an instrument for the purpose of playing in an ensemble. I want my students to learn that creating music can be done by anyone. Please visit www.BMMcreate.com to learn more about me.
All materials needed for this class will be provided electronically for the students by the instructor. Students will have the opportunity to perform on any instrument they have available or on a simple drum or home instrument if they have access to one. It is also recommend that students enjoy using apps and online games/activities, however these are also not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
