Musically Artistic! Free Art Expression
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
When children create works of art while listening to music they are free to use their imaginations to express the way the music is making them feel. At the beginning of each class I will have my "idea for the day" this will relate to the songs that we will be listening to which also relate to the movie they are from. We will be listening to Disney instrumental pieces **please see disclaimer below** Example: "My idea today is the Ocean" The music would be from the movie Moana ( but I wont tell the learners this because I want to see if they are able to figure this out as they do their art) Once learners have created their art 5-7 minutes, we will have a short discussion about about how the music made them feel, did they recognize the music, did the know any of the instruments and of course share their art! If learners are getting stuck with their creativity I will guide them with ideas to get started, like talk about colors to use, what idea they can start with, how the music wants to make their arm, hand or body move their art tool. There is no right or wrong in this class its about the learners response to the idea and the music. **disclaimer - Teacher Renee has NO affiliation with Disney and is using music that sounds like Disney music to enhance and stimulate the creative minds of the learners in this class** This is on One time class, but each class is a stand alone musical expression of art! Supplies: Recommend an easel (or tape paper to the wall) this makes movement easier for the children to control their movements and express those movements as needed, like if they need to dance a little Watercolor Paint - I would use this for ease of cleaning, but any type of paint you are comfortable with works Brushes - paint brushes in different sizes Water - A cup or basin for water Watercolor Paper - this type of paper doesn't tear as easily when wet from the paint Recommend headphones - this will help the learner hear the music better and really be involved in the expression of painting to the music A good space to create - the learners may get messy, if you can give them a spot it ok to get a little messy or put down a towel or newspaper so they are free to create **PLEASE NOTE** learners are welcome to bring whatever art supplies they would like to class! I do not want to limit learners from coming because they do not have the above items, all are welcome. The above are what Teacher Renee will be using the most, but art can be done in ANY media...fingerpaint, crayon, chalk, marker, pencil....whatever lets express through music! Even though this is a One-time class, NO class will be the same, your child is welcome to enroll in multiple classes, each class will have different music!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, Hello and Howdy my name is Teacher Renee! Welcome to my profile, I am so very excited you chose to stop by for a peek. Let me tell you a little about what I'm hoping to provide your kiddos here on Outschool.
Options for learning! A place where your child can feel safe at home learning basic early childhood skills to prepare them for traditional school learning. Whether you're choosing public school, homeschool or other options, what my classrooms will provide are basic preschool learning opportunities like literacy skills, math concepts, problem solving, listening, attention span, fun and more. But, most of all the world is becoming more and more technology based and using the computer for learning is becoming an important skill for children to be able to utilize.
My classes will be geared for 3-5 year old's that are very new to learning. I LOVE using visuals, short videos, reading stories, singing songs and asking LOTS of questions to the students in the class. Giggles are my favorite!
I am currently a Lead Teacher in a private Preschool classroom in the mornings and want to expand to teaching online to reach more kiddos because I LOVE teaching so much! I have been teaching preschool for 4 years, but working directly with youth for over 20 years. Most of my experience is with before/after school and summer day camp programs, so this gives me a fun, playful side! I see that kids have an imagination that MUST be tapped into and really enjoy bringing this out in them.
I have 3 children myself and 1 grandbaby plus a old grumpy kitty cat and an even older turtle. I enjoy kayaking, movies and lesson planning, for real!
I am anxiously awaiting meeting new smiling faces! Teacher Renee
