What's included

1 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Let's have some musical theatre fun! Learners do not need to be familiar with the movie to have a great time and get a lot out of class! In every class, students will get to introduce themselves and play silly theatre games together. Next we'll warm up our bodies and voices with stretching and fun vocal exercises. Once we're all comfortable, I'll read a storybook of related to that week's theme. After the book, students will learn a song from the movie of our theme. We'll use our imaginations to explore the character's feelings and act out the song. At the end of each class, we will close out with a little game or a cheer with our word of the day! I will break down the song and lyrics so that all students can participate, regardless of reading ability. No prior theatre or singing experience is necessary. A lyric sheet will be sent out and you can print it in advance, if you'd like. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Miss Megan and I teach musical theatre to learners of all ages. My students learn singing, dancing, and acting techniques and integrate them into musical theatre pieces in a creative and supportive environment.
Outside of Outschool, I also choreograph large scale musicals, children’s theatre productions, and teach dance for summer camps. I am a SAG-AFTRA actress and have performed on stage, for TV, film, and in voice over.
I believe that learners work best when they are encouraged to let their true selves shine. My teaching style encourages both creativity and a commitment to the work a performer must do. I find so much joy in performing and working in musical theatre, and I love sharing that excitement with all of my students.
I can't wait to have your learner in class!
