Description
Class Experience
Do you love Musical Theatre? Interested in learning new dance styles? Want to dabble in choreography? This class will provide an opportunity to practice acting methods AND dance. Each time this class is offered, it will feature a theatre style of dance including: basics; a bit of history on the song/show; series of 8 counts of choreography; opportunity for creation of dance moves and self expression. Students may take this class more than once and expect to be challenged in new ways....
Students will improve their ability to learn and retain dance steps, develop and understand a character, and begin to develop an understanding of the "why" of a character and dance number within the context of a musical.
Water bottle, comfortable clothing, open space to move.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents are asked to ensure students have a safe, open space to dance.
