#creative Dance with me in this ongoing, Musical Theater Jazz Dance Class! We will learn a new choreographed Musical Theater dance each week! We will begin each class with a short standing jazz warm up, followed by floor exercise that will include various stretches, technique and skills. We will work on emotions and expressions and even dance with props! All dance moves and music will be age appropriate. 6/11/23 - Week 1 - Zazz 6/18/23 - Week 2 - Cheerleader 6/25/23 - Week 3 - Get a Clue 7/2/23 - Week 4 - Mama I'm a Big Girl Now No previous dance experience needed, however it is encouraged.
Learning Goals
Your learn will learn beginner dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will also learn choreography to a short dance each week which will teach them various patterns. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!Other Details
Parental Guidance
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. Hello! I’m Miss Lauren and am a performer, educator, choreographer and former dance studio owner in Milton, VT.
I am trained in various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern and Acrobatics and hold a Bachelors Degree in Dance. I am also a professional for Dancing with the Stars Burlington and have graced the Flynn stage with my performance in 2019 and guest performance in 2022.
I provide wholesome dance classes where movement and music selection is always age appropriate. My main focus is to create a fun and energetic learning environment allowing kids to express themselves! I have been instructing children of all ages for 18 years and have loved every minute of it!
When not dancing, I can be found spending time with my husband and two boys. Dancing has always been my number one love and passion and is the fuel for my soul! I can’t wait to see you in my class! Now let’s get moving!
