Musical Story Time | Grizzly Bear Book, Song, and Game!
In this one-time class, students will read "Bear Can't Sleep", briefly discuss hibernation, and learn a song and game called Grizzly Bear!

Each class will start with student introductions. Students can share their name and how old they are. Then we will move into the lesson. During this class, I will use a few slides for visual representations of our lesson. I will also be reading a picture book and allowing students to see the pictures. We will begin by reading the book "Bear Can't Sleep" and discussing why it is important for Bear to be asleep! We will also touch on the subject of hibernation. After finishing the book and...
Students will briefly discuss hibernation. Students will learn to sing a new song. Students will discuss dynamics while singing.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have been in the elementary music public school classroom for almost 10 years!
Students are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear for the game at the end of class!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be required to mute/unmute themselves during class. If they need assistance with this, having and adult close by would be helpful!
