Description

Class Experience

During this engaging class, we will learn about couplet poems and write some about musical skeletons. A couplet poem usually has 2 lines that rhyme. For example, "bone" and "tone" could be used. Additionally, each line has about the same number of syllables. Notably, we will discuss skeletons, music, magic, rhyming, nouns, and adjectives. Students will be given examples and support throughout the writing process. I'll encourage everyone to share a poem or at least a portion of their wonderful...

This class is taught in English.

There is no homework.

Learners will need paper, pencils, and an eraser. If they want, learners can show us things related to this topic (e.g., an instrument or skeleton toy).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

This is a fun poetry class with a secular and creative focus. Things like holidays, birthdays, and various magical creatures may be discussed. Learners do not have to write about anything they do not like or believe in.
