What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This class covers factors of 5 to 10, and factors of 6 to 10. Students will review multiplication facts for 5 and 6 and get the chance to print or draw their own equal groups pages. After reviewing the facts, students will learn how to skip count by singing! We will practice the song a few times so that each student gets the chance to unmute and sing it with me, and then students will test their knowledge by playing an interactive game on Nearpod. Some basic knowledge of repeated addition would be helpful for this class, but it is not required. I will upload a google slides file for the equal groups before class that students can print and refer to if they like. I also encourage students to draw their own version of equal groups on paper or a whiteboard to help cement the facts. For other fact families (3, 4, 7, 8, and 9), please see the other one-time multiplication classes.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of multiplication facts.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education
I have a professional teaching certificate in the field of Special Education, and I have been teaching elementary school aged kids for over three years. I also homeschool my own daughter. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I am especially fond of using the arts to teach. I like to show my students how to make a connection to enhance their learning. I am a big proponent of growth mindset, including encouraging young learners who are not quite confident yet.
