Most of the glockenspiels that you already have in your homes will work wonderfully for this class. You may know them as xylophones, but those actually have wooden keys, while glockenspiels are metal. We will be connecting notes with colors, so it is important to note that glockenspiels come in varying colors. Example ----> ,

IF you already have an instrument that is colored differently and would still like to use it, I would recommend placing appropriately colored stickers on it for class and discussing it with your learner to avoid confusion. Class will be structured for instruments that are colored: Dark Blue (C) - Green (D) - Yellow (E) - Orange (F) - Red (G) - Purple (A) - White (B) - Dark Blue (C). The reasoning is that this pattern is more readily available for purchase. If you have any questions, or would like to check to be sure you've modified yours correctly, please let me know. There will be a tutorial available in the classroom.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
