Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this music-based course, students will participate in a variety of different 'games' that utilize Musical Executive Functioning techniques, an evidence-based protocol in Music Therapy. These games improve joint attention, fixed attention, and bi-hemispheric communication (primes the brain for learning), all while feeling like a rock-star!

Students will learn how to use these techniques on their own as a brain warm-up or brain break between learning. Any student is welcome to join, however, I'd highly recommend this course for students working on increasing time on task or self regulation.

Students will be able to talk to each other between games, ask questions, and to share their thoughts at the end of class.

This course will include visual supports, audio cues, and live demonstrations on zoom video.

No prior music experience needed! Please let me know of any adaptations your learner may need, such as mobility support, sign language, etc.

See you in class!
Learning Goals
