Musical Alphabet Club

Throughout this ongoing course, each meeting will focus on a different letter with a musical twist. Learners will sing songs and identify music related words that begin with the letter of the week. Each meeting will follow a similar outline. Learners will start by singing and moving with the club theme song and/or rhyme. The letter of the week will be introduced with a visual and by repeating the letter sound with a song/rhyme. The letter will be further emphasized with a song that includes a background story and/or song. Next, learners will participate in letter show and tell where the learners will share an object or picture that corresponds with the letter of the week. The teacher will follow-up with a music related show and tell as well. An activity sheet related to the week's letters will be uploaded to the classroom. Throughout the class, learners will complete the page, circling letter, tracing letters and circling pictures related to the week's letters. Throughout the club, learners will review letter sounds, identify and sort words by beginning letter. The meeting will end with a song and/or book related to the letter of the week.
