Our group piano class is the perfect blend of learning and fun for kids with a just a little piano experience. Through engaging games and captivating stories, your child will embark on a musical journey like no other. We'll explore essential techniques, chords, and scales all while nurturing their creativity and love for music. Watch as they develop both their piano skills and their imagination in this lively and educational class! In each class, students will receive individual feedback based on progress. WEEKLY TOPICS (topics may vary based on student mastery and ability. All topics will be reviewed periodically for mastery in this level.) Week 1 Wunderkeys Lesson Book #2 Introduction Week 2 Introduction to major scales and chords Week 3 Major Scales in C and chords Week 4 Major Scales in D and chords Week 5 Major Scales in G and chords Week 6 Introduction to minor scales and chords Week 7 Minor Scales in a and chords Week 8 Minor Scales in G and chords Week 9 Minor Scales in E and chords Week 10 Introduction to harmonic minor scales and chords Week 11 Harmonic Minor scales and chords Week 12 Harmonic Minor Scale and chords Week 13 All scale review and chords Students in this class should have completed Wunkerkeys Level 1 book or have similar experience. They should be familiar with note names on the clef and basic rhythm reading. Wunkerkeys is a wonderful book that assist beginning students in learning to play piano through storytelling and fun! Lessons are reviewed on a weekly basis to encourage mastery of each topic. Within each week, piano technique is covered on topics such as: correct fingering skills, steady beats, piano posture, arm, and wrist posture.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Christina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in music and has been playing piano since the age of five. Performance experience includes being an accompanist in Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia, Canada and churches. She plays Harp and Celtic harp in orchestras and churches. Other performance activities include symphonic choir, symphonic band, Hand Bell Choirs and Choruses. Specializing in classical music, she is a Steinway Piano artist. Christina speaks English, Spanish and has a basic working knowledge of basic German.
