Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
Welcome to MYA - the coolest class in town where music, yoga, and art collide to create a whirlwind of fun and creativity! This is the full 45-min version, I also have a 30-min ongoing course and a 30-min onetime class.

In each session, we dive into a world of melodies, yoga poses, and art projects, all centered around a special theme. We kick things off with a catchy tune, then get cozy with a weekly affirmation or a calming breathing exercise. Next up, we stretch and move with a series of energizing yoga poses. After that, it's time to groove to some tunes, play games, or enjoy musical stories. And finally, we unleash our inner artists with a craft project that ties everything together, ending on a high note with a farewell melody. Certain parts of the class will feel familiar and comforting, while others will bring a fresh burst of excitement each week.

This class is designed to be a magical mix of music and mindfulness, helping kids manage their emotions while having a blast. Plus, they'll pick up key preschool skills like counting, reading, and socializing - all while having the time of their lives!

I always over-plan, so a song or two may be cut for the sake of time and student fun. If learners want to chat, I'm all ears. Unfortunately, no recordings will be available, so let's make this live session count!

Due to online music-making challenges, there will be moments when yogis will be muted for the best audio quality. Make sure your yogis know where that mute button is and to talk into the microphone. Grown-ups, be on standby in case a little unmuting action is needed, and keep an eye on the yoga practice. Remember to switch on Original Sound in your Zoom settings so I can enjoy hearing those sweet yogi voices!

Get ready for a lively, inclusive class with me! I'm all about high energy and excitement, and I love bouncing ideas off my students for songs and games on the fly. I'll showcase visual yoga poses and games on screen, use annotations for details, pump up the audio with top-notch microphones and music clips, and even serenade you with my ukulele and piano skills!
Learning Goals
Music: Dive into the rhythms of big and little beats, tuning your ears to melodies, and immersing into different genres.
