In this 45 minute class, students will have fun singing, moving to music, playing simple instruments and musical games, all with a fun animal theme!

Description
Class Experience
Students will be developing their skills in the following musical areas (and more): singing on pitch, listening carefully, keeping a steady beat, and moving expressively.
No official homework is assigned, but suggestions will be made for ways that the students can continue making music at home during the week.
1. A scarf or light weight piece of fabric for moving to the music; Here is one suggestion: https://tinyurl.com/dr3rkaf7 2. Rhythm sticks, dowel rods or wooden spoons for tapping together; Here is one option: https://tinyurl.com/ujcsu94a 3. Egg shaker, a small sealed container filled with rice, or other shaking instrument; Here is one suggestion: https://tinyurl.com/hvuveje2 All instruments/supplies can either be purchased, or created from materials that you have at home. Feel free to contact me for more suggestions. This same simple instrument kit can be used in other classes as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will need some open floor space where they can comfortably move to the music. For younger learners, parent support may be helpful, although to protect everyone's privacy, parents should remain off camera. There are a few instruments/supplies which can either be gathered from materials in the student's home, or can be purchased from various retailers. (See supply list for more information.)
