I have a double bachelor's in music education and music performance, a master's degree in music performance with a minor in music education in the community, and a doctorate in music performance. I have taught music to grades preschool through graduate level, including college-level music theory. I have studied music theory through the doctoral level.
Homework Offered
Students will be given optional homework each week after class. Students may not need to complete their homework on weeks where we discuss familiar topics, but most students will have some topics that are unfamiliar with and they will need to practice. Optional homework shouldn't take more than about a half hour. Additionally, students will frequently have the chance to discuss questions about their musical compositions, so students may want to spend some time working on these over the duration of the course.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
