Description
Class Experience
By the end of this session, students will be able to: 1. Define the following terms: Key Signature, Treble, Bass, Sharp, Flat 2. Demonstrate the ability to visually identify the name of any written key with sharps or flats in treble or bass clef 3. Apply this newly attained skill in instrumental or vocal music
-8 years in music & theory instruction -4 years as a certified, licensed K-12 music educator
Attached to this class you will find a hand out with fill-in-the-blank style note taking. This will help you remember what was learned! You may print this off before class and fill it out as I teach (recommended), or take your own notes and fill it out after. Keep it for a handy reference!
A one-page handout will be attached for this one-time session. Students may take notes independently to fill out the handout after class, or print off the handout before class and fill it out during the session (recommended).
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be asked to visually identify a written key signature on their screen with a typed response in the message section on zoom.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
