Description

Class Experience

In this camp, we will interact with the following styles of music: Irish Folk, Country, Traditional West African, Eastern Asian Folk, Popular Music. Each style of music will have its own day of camp! We will be moving constantly to learn line dances, reels, and movements that can go along with each style. I often let students lead learning and movement through encouraging creativity to make up movements of their own! We will play movement games, echo sing and speak, and have discussions about...

This class is taught in English.

Students will learn about the music, dances and instruments used in Irish folk, Country, West African, Eastern Asian, and Pop Music.

I am a certified music educator in multiple states and love what I do! I have been conducting in person and virtual music summer camps for 5 years, and am excited to continue doing so through Outschool!

There will be no homework.

2 metal spoons on Country Music Day(Day 2)

3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
