In this music-based social club, students will be able to share a song they are learning or a song they composed, and connect with other kids who love music.

It's great to make friends with other kids who share your interests! This is a sharing time for kids who love music. In this class, you will have a chance to share a song you are learning or you have composed, and listen while other kids share their songs. We will actively practice being a positive creative learning community, supporting each other by listening and showing kindness. After we share songs, we can share other interests and play games. As a certified (K-12) music teacher, I have been trained to teach music as an art form, so that people with all kinds of life experiences and beliefs can participate in making music objectively, in a safe space. I absolutely respect learner diversity, and welcome feedback on specific sensitive topics (i.e. family or cultural beliefs that make certain music sensitive). Conversations about sensitivity will be treated with the highest discretion. Students may come prepared to share a song. If you want to share a song, you will need to have all of the materials to share the song ready at the beginning of the class. If you need assistance in getting ready, please feel free to message the teacher at least the day before the class, to give enough time to prepare.
