Description
Class Experience
I believe one of the first steps in becoming a better performer is to practice performing in low-stress situations. In this one-time course, students will take turns introducing themselves and perform for the rest of the class. We will also spend a few minutes going over a few tips and tricks on how we can improve our performance and combat stage fright!
Students will have an opportunity to practice performing in front of their peers in a low-stress environment!
I started regularly performing at a very young age and have continued to perform since. These performances include performing weekly in a country stage show, numerous formal recitals, choirs, weddings and receptions, funerals, retirement communities, fancy dinners, church programs, orchestral performances, and both solo and ensemble performances. As an adult, I perform regularly as a solo and ensemble performer. In being apart of hundreds of different performances I have learned a lot about how to be comfortable on a stage and in front of an audience. I hope that I can pass on some of what I have learned to your child!
I would like each student to come prepared with one to two songs to perform for the class! (They will for sure have the opportunity to perform one song and if time permits, a second one)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
