This is a one-time introductory course for elementary-age students interested in music production. Students must have access to a Digital audio workstation such as Logic(apple only), Garage Band (Apple's Free software), or Soundtrap (license required, Windows and Mac); the concepts covered can be used in all three programs. This class will lead into a 12-week program. See the production process from start to finish. In addition, audio engineering and music composition will be covered. This class is for you if you have a computer and access to music production software.
Learning Goals
Students will understand how to use a Digital audio workstation to 1. Make beats. 2. Play and program instrumental parts. 3. Create chord progressions.4. Create Melodies. 5. Compose. 6. Arrange. 7. Mix. 8 Master recordings.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
