1-2 hours per week. DIY and Share! You have the option to share your project by screen sharing, but it's not required. You'll need computer admin permission to share your screen and sound. It's okay if your project isn't finished; the goal is to get feedback. 🎵 Welcome to our Music Production for Beginners Camp. 🎤 🎧 Course Overview: - Age group: 13-18 - Learn the basics of using a DAW (audio software) with Soundtrap - Soundtrap is a user-friendly platform for aspiring music producers - No extra gear is required ✨ Camp Highlights: - Explore important production tools - Cover MIDI software instruments, audio interfaces, recording techniques, and more - No extra gear required - Learners use Soundtrap, a user friendly approach to DAWs, audio recording, and MIDI - Best experience on desktop/laptop browser - Self-paced FLEX option available for convenience - Limited schedule modifications based on enrollment - Option to share a project for feedback on the last day 💻 Soundtrap Student Account: Students must use their own free trial or paid version of Soundtrap.com and it must be created by the adult(s) that signed them up. Per Outschool policy, learners may not share their Soundtrap contact information. For more information, please reach out to Outschool support. 📅 Camp Schedule: Day 1: - Class project assigned - Learn to open new or previous projects - Dive into tracks, regions, and loops Day 2: - Explore MIDI software instruments - Learn to use MIDI devices - Discover recording techniques with software instruments Day 3: - Explore audio interfaces for recording voice and instruments - Learn how to record audio - Understand the differences between MIDI and audio Day 4: -Ask last minute questions -Optional project sharing (requires screen and sound sharing) 🎶 Join us for an exciting music production journey! 🎧

Supply List
Learners are welcome to use any other recording gear or instruments for their projects. We will discussing MIDI devices on day 2 and audio interfaces on day 3.
