Homework
2-4 hours per week. Students will be assigned warmups, scales, book material each week to be completed for the next lesson. Additionally students are welcome to request help on any music that they are looking to learn.

Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level

Content covered will be geared toward the needs of the student and what they would like to improve:
1) Tone quality
2) Note reading
3) Rhythm & beat skills
4) Range (high and low notes)
5) Articulation (single, double, and triple tonguing)
6) Dynamics
7) Emotion and expression
8) Scales
9) Vibrato
10) Confidence

In lessons, we will review last week's assignment, review concepts taught, demonstration and development of new skills, and assign material for the next lesson to reinforce new material.

The teacher will model on his instrument any and all concepts taught, and student will play his/her instrument to demonstrate understanding.

Other Details

Supply List
1. A brass instrument in good working order: Students will need a quality brand (Yamaha, Jupiter, Getzen, Conn, King, Bach, etc.) in order to ensure success!
2. Valve oil, slide grease, mouthpiece cleaning brush.
3. Pencil and notebook to write down assignments, or mark music
4. Printed sheet music (I will provide this)
5. Instrument method book (recommended by the teacher)
6. A music stand

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
