Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will enjoy singing and making music to upbeat songs while learning to move with the beat and engage with other blossoming musicians, creating a small ensemble with the music-makers they choose to bring to class.
I have taught music classes to numerous young learners as a teacher at Musikgarten of Lexington, as well as taught many individual and group piano classes. I am eager to spend time making music with your learner too!
It would be fun for students to bring a shakable object/instrument for some of the songs. It can be anything that rattles, whether a homemade shaker with dried beans in a plastic Easter egg or a container of dried rice.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While students do not need a tremendous amount of space to participate in this class, learners will want enough wiggle room to be able to engage in song motions while standing. (Learners who are unable to stand can still participate in the class as many of the songs use arm motions.)
Students are encouraged to bring an item/instrument that they can shake/rattle during class, as well as their favorite dance moves and their biggest smiles! The item for class can be a store-bought instrument, a homemade shaker, an item from the kitchen that makes sound when rattled, or any other creative noise-maker you come up with.
