Description
Class Experience
In this music mindfulness class, I will use the harp to engage the children in numerous activities to help them relax, to enliven and unwind through different styles and energies of music. They will use and develop skills in this course such as developing their musicianship skills by playing a long with the music, and listening skills, but they don't need to play an instrument to get involved, they can use percussive sounds too. They will use gentle movement with how the music makes them...
They will learn the power of music and its many benefits, become mindful of their breathing and the space around them. Research has suggested that the natural vibration of the harp strings promote calmness. I play music to helps others and have had many positive experiences. I have studied Harp and Violin in specialist schools (Yehudi Menuhin School) and colleges from a very young age. I have always enjoyed performing music and to bring it to wider audiences. I have experience performing to children of all ages. I enjoy Yoga, Pilates and meditation.
Musical instrument, and/or percussion (tambourine,miracas) but not compulsory.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
