Learn music theory in a relaxed environment. Through activities and games, learners will engage with basic music theory and learn about note values/rhythm, the basics of the staff, and interval recognition. Each week will start with review of previous concepts and sharing homework answers. Learners will be able to ask questions and share what they learned through doing the workbook activities. A variety of activities will be used to learn new concepts. Activities may include on screen activities, white board, workbook, drawing notes and symbols, etc. No musical background or instruments are required for this class. There will be written homework assignments in Fundamentals of Piano Theory. If not students are in the classroom at the start of class time, the teacher will wait for 10 minutes, then record a short video introducing the new material which will be posted in the classroom.
