The story of Mozart Mouse is introduced as well as Beethoven Bear. The story continues and new characters are introduced along with the key music concepts listed below:

Week 1:
The lesson is called Music Lesson Day. The new concept is the Whole Rest. There are assignments in the music lesson book and the music workbook.

Week 2:
The new concept is: the Dotted Half Note. There are always assignments in the music lesson book and the music workbook.

Week 3: 
We will review the concept of the dotted half note. More practice to make sure that the concept is learned.

Week 4:  
There is a new note introduced. The note f.  We will still review the concept of the dotted half note.

Week 5:  
The new concept is the note G on the keyboard.
We will review the dotted half note and also review finding F on the keyboard.

Week 6: 
New concept is
middle C position for the right hand.
Review the concept of finding F on the keyboard
Review the concept of finding g on the keyboard.

Week 7:
4/4 time signature is the new concept
We will review finding f, finding g and the middle c position for right hand using 5 notes.

Week 8:
New concept is 
Dynamics; moderately loud (mf)
We will review the middle C position for RH and we will review the 4/4 time signature.

Week 9
New concepts: 
Middle C position for left hand
3/4 time signature.

Week 10 
New concept is: 
Line Notes
Space notes
We will review moderately loud (mf) 
Middle C position for Left hand
3/4 time signature

It is a requirement that the student spends time each day practicing the skills that were introduced at each lesson.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
