Description
Class Experience
**This is a great follow up to my Rhythm Fun class!** During this class, students will "make" rhythms using sandwich ingredients. Using various words, such as "bread", "turkey", "peanut butter", we will create sandwich rhythms together! The words used will match quarter notes, eighth note pairs and sixteenth note groupings. First, we will practice each ingredient in slow 4-beat measures to get a sense of the beat and how each word (rhythm) fits within a beat. Students will practice using the...
Students will practice rhythmic patterns using syllables in place of rhythmic notation. Students will practice using a steady beat. Students will learn to create their own 4-beat rhythms using the ingredient words and a steady beat combined. Students will work together to create short rhythmic patterns.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
