Class experience
This class is for individual music composition lessons and will meet per parent request. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to: form, orchestration, arranging, harmony, style, lyrics, scales, and score prep. Lessons will be structured depending on each student's personal needs and goals. Students may share their work with me via .pdf, .mus, or .mid files. They may also play their work (or individual parts of the work on an instrument during the session.) I use the music...
I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in music composition, and have written music for twenty-two years. I also have professional certification as a K-12 music teacher.
Music notation software such as Finale, Sibelius, and MuseScore is highly encouraged but not required. Music staff paper is also encouraged and can be provided by request.
