Music Class for Autism & Special Needs (3-6, Ongoing)

Students will learn through interactive musical activities including singing, dancing, clapping, and more!
A typical music class includes the following: 
1. Hello Song: Students sing hello and are encouraged to say "hello" to the teacher and to each other
2. "We Will Rock You" Song: Students answer the question "How are you?" while stomping and clapping the beat.
3. Music Together: Students participate in a series of movements and call-and-response vocal activities
4. Themed Music: Depending on the time of year, I may choose to include themed music for special events, seasons, holidays, or the weather. 
5. Goodbye Song: We will sing/answer questions about what we did during class and each student will say goodbye to the teacher and his/her peers.

Visual pictures and storytelling are included to exemplify and encourage participation. Nonverbal children are absolutely welcome in this class.
