55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this wildly interactive class we will be exploring rhythm and beat through chants. We will learn some basic note values and talk about how rhythms work and difference between a rhythm and a beat. We will learn some basic rhythms by using the English language and some fun words to stress how rhythm is different from beat. We will also be listening to some child friendly, traditional songs to help us out. I hope we will laugh our way through the class and that your child will come away banging and clapping to all kinds of rhythms they hear. To further continue students may sign on for my All About Rhythm class (for more on rhythm and simple time) or All About Notes to learn about note reading. I also offer one on one lessons for music theory and ESL if you have specific learning goals.
Learning Goals
Students will learn that rhythm is fun and that there is a difference between beat and rhythm. They will learn to identify the beat and rhythm of songs as well as some simple note values.
