Welcome to our fun class all about Music and Emotions! Each week, we’ll explore how different types of music can make us feel and help us understand ourselves better. We’ll listen to short pieces of music—from classical to movie soundtracks—and discuss how they make us feel. You’ll learn what the music means, how it connects to emotions, and how it brings people together. Our lessons will include lots of interactive discussions and opportunities to share ideas, so everyone can express themselves! You’ll also learn cool music facts and discover the basics of music, like tempo, dynamics, and the history behind famous masterpieces. Class Structure: Icebreaker: We’ll start with a fun music fact or a personal sharing activity to build comfort and connection. Listening: We’ll listen to a piece of music (classical, modern, or from soundtracks) and explore how it makes us feel. Discussion: We’ll talk about the music, using descriptive language to express emotions and ideas. Music History & Fundamentals: We’ll introduce basic music concepts (like tempo, dynamics, or popular genres) or explore the history of famous musical pieces. The goal is to combine emotional awareness with music, encouraging self-expression, empathy, and a deeper understanding of both music and emotions. I’m excited to meet you and hear your thoughts!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Piano Teaching and a Master's degree in Musicology, and I have an experience teaching students from elementary to high school. As a musicologist and expert in cultural diplomacy, I have explored the profound connection between music, cultures, people and their emotions.
In today’s world, where Artificial Intelligence is becoming more prevalent, nurturing emotional intelligence is more important than ever—and music plays a key role in that development.
As a parent of two children, ages 9 and 10, I have witnessed firsthand how music fosters emotional growth. I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging environment where children feel safe to explore music and express their feelings.
It’s also worth mentioning that, when I was a student, I wrote an anthem for my university, which was a meaningful way for me to express my emotional gratitude for the environment that empowered and inspired me. More recently, I authored "Music Doodles: Fascinating Facts and Tales from the World of Music", a book dedicated to my 10-year-old son, who has a deep love for music.
I look forward to guiding your child on this exciting journey of self-expression. Together, we will discover how music can help us understand and share our feelings in today’s fast-paced world.
