Description

Class Experience

This course meets once per week for four weeks. 
We will have four meetings that cover four general introductory singing topics: Breath Support, Resonance, Relaxation, and Mouth Shape/communication. Each class will spend time reviewing and introducing new material and spend time trying to apply the knowledge to several simple songs in a variety of styles. Students will interact with each other to give and hear feedback on vocal attempts, ask questions during instruction, and sing themselves....

Coltyn has an extensive professional music background. He has worked professionally as a singer in a variety of genres, including opera, theatre, and even fronts a rock band. He has been teaching voice since 2016.
His education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal and General Music and Bachelor of Arts in Wide Range Education.
Coltyn has experience instructing students of all ages, ranging from preschoolers to adults, across musical theatre, pop, and classical styles.
Coltyn is phenomenal with helping learners understand how their body and instrument (voice) work together, digging deeper into breathing, technique, healthy and effective warmups, making them a stronger singer through education and physical practice.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
