Music All Around Us: Let’s Listen to Magical Soundscapes & Stories!
In this unique music class, we will use our ears and imagination to explore peaceful & curious magical soundscapes and their stories in children’s poetry—mermaids, fairies, unicorns, dragons, and sounds you might hear in an enchanted forest! Let's appreciate the music all around us, and hear the nature sing!

Description
Class Experience
~Develop listening skills with soundscapes (the music all around us) ~Improve reading comprehension skills with short stories and poetry ~Practice mindfulness and self-expression through free-writing
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All mythical creatures shown will be cute and child appropriate. Sounds will be mostly gentle and non-frightening. However, a sleeping dragon will let out a low rumbling snore/roar. Parental guidance is advised if you feel your child may not enjoy dragon sounds. Youtube videos may be used for listening purposes. Students will remain on the Outschool platform and will not access the YouTube website on their own.
