Museum Masterpiece Andy Warhol Modern Art Painting Class (Beginner)

In this one-time course, students will learn about the modern artist Andy Warhol while creating their own unique acrylic painting on canvas. Beginner class, but intermediate students are welcome.

Class Experience

Artists will explore their individual creativity while studying the famous Andy Warhol. Art students will also learn acrylic painting techniques on canvas.
No homework will be assigned.
Stretched canvas or canvas board 8” x 10” (no larger than 11” x 14” Acrylic paint: black, white, yellow, blue, red (green, pink, purple and orange if student doesn’t want to mix their own) Paintbrushes of various small to medium size Disposable cup for washing paintbrushes Disposable paper plate (to use as a palette) Paper towels (wet and dry) Newspaper or disposable tablecloth to cover painting surface I recommend wearing old (short sleeve) clothes or a large t-shirt to cover. Aprons don’t always protect all clothing sometimes.
No formal assessment will be given to the artists in class. Creativity and exploration is encouraged. No art is “bad” art, only learning experiences. 
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
