PARENT SUMMARY
We’re excited to launch a 6-week health and science unit all about the muscular system—designed to get students learning, moving, and thinking about how their amazing bodies work!
In "Muscles in Motion," students will:
✔️ Learn what muscles do and why we need them
✔️ Discover the three types of muscles: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac
✔️ Explore how muscles move and work with bones
✔️ Identify major muscles in the body and their functions
✔️ Understand how exercise builds muscle strength
✔️ Learn how nutrition, sleep, and daily habits help care for muscles
This engaging unit includes interactive lessons, movement-based activities, and fun facts to help kids connect science to real life. By the end of the course, students will feel empowered to make choices that support strong, healthy muscles—now and for years to come.
Let’s get moving and make health fun!
🚨 NOTE: Students have the option to partake in brain break/exercise videos. Nothing is needed except space to move, a water bottle and a smile!
