You've been looking forward to seeing The Magic Flute all week, but when you arrive, you find that it has been canceled because something has happened to the leading soprano! Follow the story and solve puzzles to find out what happened while also learning about the opera. Learners should feel comfortable typing answers in the chat, and should have a pencil and paper ready to work on puzzles. There will also be 1 page of program notes available in the classroom upon enrollment to be printed if possible. Students may also access the pdf virtually on another device or window if needed. Learners are welcome to work together as a team or individually, and no prior musical experience is necessary. Hints will be provided along the way, and additional activities will be provided in the event that learners solve the mystery before class time is up.
Learning Goals
Students will develop their critical thinking skills to solve the puzzles and learn a bit about Mozart and the opera The Magic Flute along the way.
