Class Experience

When it comes to summertime treats, a cold cup or cone of ice cream can't be beat! Cookies & cream is one of my favorite flavors, because it's simple and not too sweet. It's easier than you would think to whip up some tasty and creamy ice cream!

In this class, we'll walk through the steps of making our very own cookies & cream ice cream, and you don't even need an ice cream maker. This will be a cook-along style class, where we'll work through the recipe steps together so I can provide guidance and answer questions along the way. As we're cooking, I'll also offer up some baking trivia and ice cream science so we can learn some of the "why" behind our ice cream recipe.

Please note, this class is geared towards baking beginners, so intermediate and advanced bakers may find it too easy. If your learner has some baking experience already and would still like to join, they're more than welcome! It may be a great chance to learn a new recipe or some new tips.

Please note: This recipe requires quite a bit of freezing time. While we won't be able to get to the finished product in class, I'll have a completed batch ready to show you how it looks.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Ms. Lindsay. I teach classes on a variety of topics, including video games, anime, baking, crafts, and more! These are my personal interests and hobbies that I spend a ton of time learning about myself, and I'm excited that I have the opportunity to share my love of these topics with others.

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and my focuses were art and business. I have experience working with young children through leading storytime/arts & crafts at my local library, as well as tutoring students in English and Reading. I have also worked with foreign students who speak different languages to strengthen their pronunciation and conversational skills.

When it comes to my teaching style, I believe it’s important to have fun in class, and focus on students' interests to keep them engaged in their education. I also work hard to foster a positive and uplifting classroom environment, to boost confidence and encourage students to be proud of who they are! Ultimately, students should look forward to having class, instead of feeling like it's boring or something that they're required to do.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of those awesome learners out there. See you in class!
