US Grade 5 - 7
In this class we will discuss and practice the rules for multiplying and dividing integers. We will begin briefly by discussing positive and negative numbers. Next, we will introduce Dorito Man, a small drawing that helps us remember our rules for multiplying and dividing integers. Each student will draw their own version of Dorito Man for reference. I have taught Middle School Math for 14 years. My time in the classroom has included teaching Honors Math, Inclusion, Pull-Out and Self-Contained.
A multiplication chart can be used if needed. A pencil and notebook should be kept handy. Students can use crayons, markers or colored pencils to decorate their Dorito Man.
