In this lesson the students will learn how to multiply decimals using models and other strategies. Students in this class should know the multiplication facts. The lesson will begin with a review of the multiplication facts. Next, the vocabulary words factors and products will be identified and defined. Then using the Zoom whiteboard I will model how to solve multiplying by multiple digits with decimals using the standard algorithm using the I do, we do, you do strategy. The students will then solve problems on the whiteboard and on paper to show understanding of the skill.

The goal of this class is for the students to multiply numbers that contain decimals.
