In this one time class, students will learn that multiplication is equal groups, repeated addition, and skip counting!

In this one-time course, students are introduced to multiplication. Students will create groups with interactive screen. They will draw objects which we will then discuss how to group. We will learn basic math vocabulary such as multiply, factors, and product. Participants will then have an opportunity to play a kahoot game, by logging onto a second device. Learners may use the kahoot app or visit the www.kahoot.it site to play along with the group. I will be entering the code in the chat box once we get to that point in the lesson. This is a fun game. Since this is a beginner course, students are not expected to have facts memorized. This course is meant to present a deeper meaning of multiplication, rather than just memorizing the facts.
