Description

Class Experience

In this prep class format, learners will practise and review their multiplication facts in this multi-day lesson. 

Topics will include the multiplication facts 0 through 6. In this prep class, the focus will be on the strategies to calculate the multiplication equations, using various methods of reaching the answer, basic principles of addition and subtraction, and working on building a faster recall of the answer which builds confidence in the learners math journey moving forward....

Learners will review basic addition and subtraction as it relates to solving their multiplication facts 0 through 6. Multiplication games will be used on the last day of this prep format to review the multiplication facts practised on day 1, 2 and 3. A comprehensive review: Practise and review of the the multiplication facts, basic addition and subtraction and a faster recall of the multiplication facts are the objectives of this prep formatted lesson.

There may be some assignments/ mini multiplication projects that the learners will complete after each lesson in order to enhance their practise and review of their multiplication facts in this prep format. Workbook is included for the learners to practise what is covered in the lessons.

Notebook, pencil and eraser. Multiplication prep package attachment will need to be printed out for your learner to participate completely in this prep class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Assessment is informal and ongoing.

2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
