Multiplication with Legos

Students will learn how to multiply using legos and other forms of manipulatives to model the different multiplication tables. There is no background knowledge to be required for this course. The only request I ask is to have fun building legos! Homework will be assigned twice a week on the days that we meet for classes. Every two weeks there will be an assessment given to be able to measure how the students are grasping the concepts. I will also be giving the students a pre test and post test to measure how much prior knowledge they have on the material before classes and how much knowledge they have gained after the classes. I will also be doing informal assessments throughout each class by asking higher order thinking questions and pop quizzes. The students won't even realize they are learning while their having loads of fun.
