Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will focus on and learn a different multiplication fact each class. At the beginning of class I will teach a strategy or trick to use to solve the specific fact. We will practice the new strategy together, then we will play a game to practice a single fact with the strategies and tricks we just learned. For example, one class will focus only on multiplication fact 7. I will teach how to use the best strategy to solve multiplication fact 7, then we will...
Students will improve their understanding and confidence of multiplication by learning quick strategies and tricks to help them.
Paper and a pencil or whiteboard and marker.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
