Multiplication Tips, Tricks and Patterns

Students will learn tips and tricks for multiplication facts for the 3's, 5's 7's, 9's and 11's.  I will present one at a time. We will analyze it, copy it down and practice it. Then students will recite the trick performing it on their own notebook. Then we will move on to the next set of multiplication facts. We will repeat this for each of the sets. Students will be able to show what they have learned at the end by performing the tricks, answering questions and even competing against each-other or me. Participation is on a voluntary basis but from experience these tricks are so cool that students can't help but participate.
