Learners will review their multiplication facts or times tables for 0s through 5s over the course of a one week period. Learners will review what multiplication is, what it means, and the rules of basic multiplication. Learners will learn different strategies and "tricks" to solve multiplication problems. I have been a third grade teacher for going on 12 years and have taught a variety of multiplication strategies and methods over the years.
Homework Offered
Assignments will be given each day for practice and will be expected to be completed by the next day’s class. We will go over the assignments together in class. Assignments will be posted on the classroom site after class each day. There will be four assignments.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners are not officially assessed as this class is simply a review of basic multiplication.Grades Offered
Learners should bring some form of manipulative with them to class for Days 2, 3, and 4. These can be anything from Cheerios, Legos, marbles, Cheez-Its, pennies, etc. to practice a hands-on approach.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
